Hi everyone.
This is my first post on the Debian forums. So I'll present myself, name's Fred and I'm a programmer
I currently own a Desktop with a RTX 4070. While the NVIDIA 525 driver (the one available on Debian repos) works, it's not optimal. I would like to get the latest driver and I was wondering what was the best way to have that.
Using the .run file on NVIDIA's website seems to be the only option, but after that, what should I do to make it work as intended?
Are there any kernel parameters I should add to grub?
Should I blacklist manually nouveau somewhere?
I know that on OpenSuse they add a few kernel paramaters automatically after installing the nvidia drivers like nvidia_drm.fbdev=1 and nvidia_drm.modeset=1
