Hardware • 6 GHz wifi channels disabled RZ616 (MT7922A)

Trying to get my RZ616 working on my IdeaPad. Works fine in Arch or OpenSUSE, but on Debian, the 6 GHz channels keep showing up as disabled. Started out with a current 12, but upgraded to trixie to see if there's any difference (there isn't), so I'd just as much prefer to stay on trixie at this point if it's possible to get it working, as I do have 6E & 7 available in my house.

standard trixie kernel

Code:

Linux gehenna 6.10.3-amd64 #1 SMP PREEMPT_DYNAMIC Debian 6.10.3-1 (2024-08-04) x86_64 GNU/Linux
iw reg get shows correctly set to US:

Code:

globalcountry US: DFS-FCC (902 - 904 @ 2), (N/A, 30), (N/A) (904 - 920 @ 16), (N/A, 30), (N/A) (920 - 928 @ 8), (N/A, 30), (N/A) (2400 - 2472 @ 40), (N/A, 30), (N/A) (5150 - 5250 @ 80), (N/A, 23), (N/A), AUTO-BW (5250 - 5350 @ 80), (N/A, 24), (0 ms), DFS, AUTO-BW (5470 - 5730 @ 160), (N/A, 24), (0 ms), DFS (5730 - 5850 @ 80), (N/A, 30), (N/A), AUTO-BW (5850 - 5895 @ 40), (N/A, 27), (N/A), NO-OUTDOOR, AUTO-BW, PASSIVE-SCAN (5925 - 7125 @ 320), (N/A, 12), (N/A), NO-OUTDOOR, PASSIVE-SCAN (57240 - 71000 @ 2160), (N/A, 40), (N/A)
US should enable the 6GHz bands, but they're stubbornly staying disabled, and I'm not finding how to get them to enable

Is this possible on Debian to get this working?
