Same had happen here this morning. I turned on the comp and received a msg saying
Verifying shim SBAT data failed: Security Policy Violation
I have an leptop Acer nitro 5 with dual boot on Debian 12 and windows 10. I read that the problem is the most recent update by microsoft that broke GRUB, or basically considered that "unsure". The problem seems to exist since july and they are aware, but i guess they saw to many people installing dual boot because the new win11 and they are not happy. Anyway, i have uninstalled the updates of this month. lets see if it works. on Ubuntu's forum and Mint forum they said to do disable boot secure mode (i dont know if it works here because its an uefi secure boot mode) then enter on linux and throught terminal delete SBAT policy. re-boot on linux then reboot again to enable boot secure mode.
