I I rent a room in a long time friends home. The only Internet I have access to is WiFi with appears to have a limit on the number of connections it will make. This is how I got NetworkManager to share the WiFi with my small LAN.
I am using Debian 12. My system has built in LAN adapter. I have a WiFi card using the Intel chip. I am using a Netgear GS108 Gigabit Switch.
1) In the "Networks Connections" window I removed all the network connections.
2) I configured the LAN with a static network address and set the "Method" on the same tab as the static address to "Shared to other computers". I also set the "Priority" on the general tab to '1'.
I made sure I could ping a computer on my small LAN before proceeding, logging out and back in, or restarting as needed.
3) I then manually configured the WiFi insuring the "Device" had a an entry.
Hope this helps
