@CwF I am indeed the sole user of the machine. I assumed it would be better to implement the permissions that is there by default on any linux system on the NTFS drive as well. Maybe the user running a script by accident wasn't really a good example :D But I can't help but feel that using the drive with rwx permissions for all files is a bad practise.

@pbear Thank you for the tip of using moving the file to home partition to make changes to the permissions.

For now, I think I'll stick to the default mount, since many of you guys don't seem to think that the permissions aren't that big of a security concern. Thank you for the help :wink:
