I did a complete reinstall. The backup was successful: all folders +bookmark files. After installing, I ran into many problems. I needed dolphin file manager and installed it. Installed a few more basic apps I needed. Also, too many smaller tasks I can't recall. Still learning debian.
First admin 'apt-update', kept asking for the flashdrive installer usb. I fixed that with this:
https://unix.stackexchange.com/question ... dvd-binary
The maximize and minimize buttons were missing. Gnome tweeks wasn't in discover.
Terminal Fix:
gsettings set org.gnome.desktop.wm.preferences button-layout ":minimize,maximize,close"
In dolphin, Firefox icons, text files, and more are missing. When I click:
properties --> open with
Could not find the "keditfiletype5" executable in PATH.
How do I fix this?
