I want router advertisement to assign routes and IPv6 addresses, and I also want to assign a ~stable~ local IPv6 address to the device.
With the /etc/network/interfaces/whatever file, I could not accomplish that goal. It seemed to be one or the other. But not both.
NetworkManager allowed me to meet that goal.
So, my question at this point is ... why does the /etc/network/interfaces/ function seem to be unable to perform that simple task?
