I ruled out the monitor because when used with older computers it works. So it cannot be the monitor.

I am currently trying to install the nvidia-driver and nvidia-settings for my new GT 1030. ChatGPT is helping me configuring it. After installation running "nvidia-smi" gives me:

"NVIDIA-SMI has failed because it couldn't communicate with the NVIDIA driver. Make sure that the latest NVIDIA driver is installed and running."

ChatGPT thinks it could be related to SecureBoot that could prevent the driver from starting. I'll try to play with the bios.

I have to do more testing, but there is a possibility that if I use kernel 6.11, it gives me an "Failed to start lightdm.service" on boot. So I am using 6.1 for now.
