Very good info!Just for the record, I have run Debian 9, 10 and 11 with no problems on a Dell XPS 13 laptop. However, after upgrading to Debian 12 this December I started experiencing weird issues after waking up from sleep (i.e. after closing and reopening the lid), similar to the ones described here. After waking up, I had to reboot the laptop the hard way to be able to regain proper behaviour.
Some research revealed that all the problems were down to my wireless card: Intel Corporation Wireless 7265 (rev 2b).
All issues went away after creating a file /etc/modprobe.d/iwl.conf containing the following lines:
options iwlwifi 11n_disable=1
options iwlwifi swcrypto=0
options iwlwifi bt_coex_active=0
options iwlwifi power_save=0
options iwlwifi uapsd_disable=1
options iwlmvm power_scheme=1
and rebooting. Now Debian 12 works like a charm.
I hope this helps someone.
In your case, it is portable, at the time I read things for laptops, cases, solutions...etc...
In my case, being a desktop PC, the solution is different.
But this info is sure to be great for other people with a laptop.
