I'm happy your were able to find a workaround.I discovered that I can successfully connect to the VPN as root, so that gives me an easy workaround.
Can you send the log for of a successful connection attempt (for comparison) ?[..] Below is the system log from a failed connection attempt, in case anyone's interested. [..]
