I have repeat tested and acknowledge that on my system also the numbers move around a bit, maybe 10% +/-
The buffered disk reads are consistently slower on newer kernels, though:
6.1.0.18 --- 2524 MB/sec
6.1.0.20 --- 1851 MB/sec
6.6.13 --- 1660 MB/sec
Now all of this would just academic by I see it in actual usage also. I can copy a large file from the internal NVME to the Sandisk Extreme Pro.
6.1.0.18 950+ MB/sec
6.1.0.20 550 MB/sec
6.6.13 690 MB/sec
Also deleting a Virtualbox snapshot which is very disk heavy takes "a long time" on the newer kernels.
There must be a difference.
