Thanks for your reply, bbbhltz : ). That sadly didn't help, but this did:I did what worked on Mint, but through command prompt, because I didn't know how to do it through the KDE network manager. The command:

sudo nmcli connection modify <SSID> 802-11-wireless.band "bg".

I am sorry for any inconvenience caused.
